AI-enhanced learning for infrastructure careers

Build the skills and confidence for a high-paying infrastructure career.

Learn what you need to know, practise real systems problems with an AI guide beside you, then take on a fresh scenario with the guide switched off.

No prior infrastructure knowledge required.

Foundations is free for everyone and will never sit behind a paywall.

During the beta, every open part of CloudCaive is free. After the beta, Foundations stays free and later phases are priced separately.

The full public release is scheduled for Monday 2 November 2026 at 00:00 GMT.

What you actually work with

  • Linux
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • Git
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL
  • nginx
  • Bash

These are curriculum tools, not partner endorsements. The detailed free and paid boundaries live in availability and pricing.

What the work develops

Know what to investigate, decide and verify.

Technical work is more than remembering a command. Read the evidence, choose between plausible next moves, then prove the system changed in the way you intended.

  1. InvestigateSeparate one explanation from another.
  2. DecideChoose a useful action and understand its trade-offs.
  3. VerifyCheck the user-facing result, not only the command output.
The difference

Make the decision before you see the explanation.

A tutorial can show a clean path. A real incident rarely does. CloudCaive records the move you choose, then explains what that evidence would—and would not—tell you.

You still get teaching. You do some thinking first.

Current guided service incident · browser-based simulation

The application looks healthy. Its database is not.

Prompt, system context and the next safe action stay visible together. Inspect the dependency path, repair PostgreSQL and verify the user-facing result.

Orders path · PostgreSQL inactiveSimulated world
  1. InspectWeb and API are healthy; PostgreSQL is offline.
  2. ConnectUse attempt-only training credentials for the fictional db-01 host.
  3. DiagnoseThe host responds; postgresql.service is inactive.
  4. RepairStart the modelled service and watch the dependency recover.
  5. VerifyThe simulated user path returns 200 OK.

03 · One progression, a useful starting point

See where you are and what comes next.

Everyone follows the same progression. Begin at Foundations or use a short route check to start near useful practice.

Foundations · free forever

Understand → Apply → Connect → Challenge.

Build the concepts and working habits behind systems, networking, identity and telemetry, then bring them together in a guided challenge.

Build and Operate · formative beta practice

Practise connected operational work

Short drills, terminal practice and browser-based incidents. See access and pricing.

Design and Improve · coming later

Develop systemic engineering judgement

Scaling decisions, multi-stage delivery, data work and platform improvement will appear when their criteria and scenarios are ready.

Whichever route you choose, what does practice actually look like?

04 · Practice loop and feedback

Decide. Receive specific feedback. Try changed conditions.

The practice loop changes what happens next. It is not a playlist that continues whether you understood the decision or not.

  1. 01Meet a scenario

A symptom leaves several explanations open.

  2. 02Choose your next move

Inspect evidence or take an action before seeing the answer.

  3. 03Get specific feedback

Learn what the move reveals and what it cannot prove.

  4. 04Revisit uncertainty

Short practice returns on a spaced schedule.

  5. 05Check transfer

Reviewed programmes use a new incident mapped to the same objectives.

Evidence becomes the next practice target

Find the gap. Practise it. Test transfer.

Each module advances the loop: capture evidence, target the uncertainty, then reassess the same objectives under changed conditions.

  1. 01 · Find the gaps

We watch how you investigate — not only whether you found the fix.

An unfamiliar incident, investigated your way. Your choices are the evidence, sampled and reviewed against a published, versioned rubric. Gaps are named, not hidden.

  2. 02 · Practice those exact gaps

Practice aimed at what the evidence found.

Drills and incident practice pointed at the gaps your session found — not a generic course.

  3. 03 · Sit an unseen reassessment

A new, unseen incident tests the same objectives.

Same objectives, same standard, different conditions — so the change is measured, not assumed.

The loop produces evidence. How is that evidence judged?

05 · Evidence, standards and limits

Inspect the product. Read the standard. See the limits.

CloudCaive publishes its practice and assessment rules. It does not yet publish learner outcome claims, so testimonials or improvement charts are not used as proof.

Claims boundary

Evidence is described, not inflated.

Observed evidence
What the sampled decisions and verification steps demonstrated.
Targeted practice
Work aimed at an identified gap, not proof that the gap has closed.
Reassessment
The same objectives tested under changed conditions.
Unsupported claims
No certification, job, pass, competence or employer-recognised credential guarantee.

Reviewed reports describe only the evidence demonstrated in the sampled session.

Academy · planned · not for sale

Certification preparation is a separate planned route.

Academy is intended to map learning to named blueprint versions using published certification requirements. There is no catalogue, launch date, waiting list or checkout.

It will not claim certification-owner affiliation or endorsement unless one genuinely exists, guarantee a pass, or treat certification as proof of production competence.

07 · Trust, essential answers and action

Built by an engineer who learned how to teach.

Operational experience shapes the incidents. Teaching experience shapes the feedback.

Who built and reviews the work

Engineering taught me how failures unfold. Teaching taught me how feedback lands.

I’m Naqeeb Ghazi, a practising Senior DevOps Engineer and former secondary-school science teacher. Engineering taught me how failures unfold. Teaching taught me that useful feedback has to be specific.

Where a session is reviewed, I schedule it, grade sampled evidence against the published rubric and write the report myself. Reviewed sessions are not part of the free beta, which opens the Labs surface to everyone.

Essential FAQ

Straight answers before you start.

Do I need experience?

No. Foundations begins with clear system concepts and builds toward connected practice. If you already have experience, a route check helps you start further ahead. See the progression.

What is free and what is paid?

The complete dates, prices, access terms and post-beta choices are stated in one place: availability and pricing.

Are these real production systems or credentials?

No. The simulations and report boundaries are stated in the honest boundary above.

What is still being built?

Design and Improve and Academy are still in development and not for sale. Unavailable work is labelled as coming later or planned.
